PMI has existed since 1969 (more on offical PMI website) with more than 700,000 members operating almost in every country in the world (270 Chapters).
PMI’s history in Poland dates back to 2003. The association was created in response to the needs of the Polish market for professional project management. The founders of PMI in Poland are both managers and managers of major Polish and international business and academic organizations, as well as independent consultants.
Huge interest in both the Project Management and the organization itself has allowed the company to expand its activities throughout Poland.
Since May 8, 2007, the association has been operating as a PMI Poland Chapter and has transformed its structure by initially establishing 6 branches in Gdańsk, Cracow, Poznan, Warsaw, Wrocław and Łódź.
In 2010 Lubuskie branch was established, supplementing PMI’s current division of organization.
In December 2013 two new branches were established: Kujawsko-Pomorskie and Śląski. Currently, PMI Poland Chapter consists of 11 regional offices.
In December 2015, just before Christmas, the PMI PC Szczecin branch was officially opened. Welcome to the project management enthusiasts!
